Leads and plugs replaced ~10,000k's ago. With the amount of smoke it was blowing, i'm positive it's the headgasket

So when i started the car this arvo it was running on three cylinders, but upon driving it ran on all four and didn't blow any smoke. I picked up a bottle of chemiweld and will put it in on friday. Anybody have any tips for flushing the cooling system? These are the steps i was going to follow: - Re...

Headgasket

So i'm fairly sure i've done a headgasket on my ea81. It's been using a bit of coolant for the last couple months, but i didn't really worry too much about it. Tried to start her up this arvo after work and after 5 attemps she finally kicked over. Started running on three cylinders and blowing white...

Sometime missing?

Hey guys. Was taking a look under my car to find out what was leaking and come across this. It's a part inbetween the gearbox and tailshaft. Looks like the cover has fallen off.

Me too. I've had a couple of issues with the manual choke getting stuck fully on. What's involved with getting the carby rebuilt? What parts do they use?

Fuel pump dying??

Hey guys. Been having a bit of trouble with my old girl over last couple weeks. Motor is standard ea81. First problem is the idle. It doesn't want to idle at all, even with the manual choke half to three-quarters of the way open. I have to keep the accelerator on for it the idle. Second problem is a...

I have never used part ethanol fuels, usually BP 95 octane.

Will any cylinder cleaner work or should i get the good stuff from subaru?

Continues to turn over once turned off?

Hey guys. I have an 84 wagon with the old ea81 carbie. My problem is as the title suggests, when i turn the engine off, it continues to try to run. It only does this when it's fully warmed up. It usually turns over a good three or four times, shudders and dies. I'm thinking it could be 'hot-spots' o...

Lifting MY81 Wagon

Hey guys. I'm looking at lifting my wagon. I'll be fitting a BYB 2inch lift kit.

My question is: Will i need to ditch the rear torsion bar and upgrade to springs? What are the advantages of doing so?
