I wouldn't letting the tyres as it lets the dust more easily get into the beads and more likely to go flat. there is also a different type of clamp you can get, really hard to describe, my L has them on the rear cv's..i spose you could explain it like a watch, you double it back on itself and it then clips in..(im sure most of you have seen them?) alex yer i no wt ur talking bout we usually get them at w...

the one we use at work looks basic i got no idea wt price it was or where it came from but as every1 else says.....saves so much trouble.

mine was doin the same thing ever since i got it but i ended up figuring out a way that it wasnt so bad..cant remember it now tho
its been a while since ive had to use it (car hasnt moved far for awhile now)
mine is a dual range aswell if it isnt the same type lever as wt you have

could just be a build up of crap in the throttle body that makes it stick partially open and not closing up as far as it should.. just take the intake pipe off then spray some carby cleaner around and give it a good wipe out with a rag making sure to hold the butterfly open and get right down the ba...

with my rough calculations i was gettin 28 lol..
i used 25mm in an inch and worked it out from there supposing there 100% aspect ratio

DL and GL differences

can anybody tell me some of the differences between DL and GL Subies
ive heard that the DL was a base model with basic dash and only single range..which would make mine a GL then coz its got digital dash and its a d/range 4wd

that is to say that mine is actually classified as either a GL or DL

you should clear out your PCV valve and hoses and that coz it shouldn't be blowing the dipstick and cap off you should do a compression test aswell but a leakage test isnt really necessary as it is mainly piston rings if it has blowby my engine has some blowby but im not caring about it..hasnt done ...

wt if you only put a 2 inch in but some new springs and bigger tyres raised it the extra inch would that then make it illegal??
