Yes I'm sure there is plenty of information on the forum, but that doesn't tell me specific to Tasmania being state based laws as well as the ADR. I am planning to do it myself hence why I would like to talk with an engineer or someone who has done the mods before and got them certified in Tasmania ...

Vehicle engineering

Anyone know if we can get the following mods certified/engineered on a brumby... 5 Stud Brake Kit Chassis Rail Mods for DOHC EJ22 or EJ25 EJ AWD Gearbox And obviously all the little bits associated with these mods. Or if anyone can point me in the way of a friendly engineer who wont just tell me to ...

If the DOHC engine was mounted without spacing it down an inch would you still need to mod the chassis rails? what about the gearbox does the inch spacing help it fit aswell?
Surely we could find another way to get the bonnet clearance, low profile intake manifold or modified bonnet.

Dual shock mod question

Hey all, Thinking about the dual shock mod, Is there any reason why the second shock is mounted behind the coilover? as I'm thinking on my brumby when I do the L series control arm mod the struts will be angled forward at the bottom so wouldn't it be more benificial to mount it in front of the coilo...

I have been told that it works, the easiest way to test is to pull it and try, surely it wouldnt stop the breaks from working at all that would be a massive safety issue, just have the hand break ready just incase :P

So the FJ40/FJ45 shocks have the pin top and eye bottom just like the brumby, or do I need to salvage the pin out of the standard shocks?
Oh and should I go heavy duty or just stick with the basic monroe ones?
Thanks

I've been looking for rear drive shaft assemblies for the MY but I can only find front ones, can I use front ones in the rear or use a L series drive shaft with MY inners and outers... I have no idea and cant find any info on it, please someone enlighten me.

Thanks in advance

If you look at that post that has the pictures, I've changed plans a bit, I'm no longer going 5 stud, I'm staying 4 stud, so I have 14" Rims with 27x8.5 Kumho 834 Tyres.

In fact I think I will update the 1st post with the list and update it as I go.
