cheers for the advice lads. theyre in and wired and sounding great. when i next have some spare time i'll redo the wiring to the back speakers. then start saving some dough for a good quality amp.

any advice on where to put the crossover boxes? they look too big to be attached to the door panels.

also any advice on getting the speaker wires through the rubber hose things that go between the body and the door?

what am i looking at to get you to install a set of hertz esk 165 splits into the front of my lib? the wiring i can do myself but the cutting and fitting ill make a mess of.

evening all, i got some aftermarket splits for the front of my liberty and am trying to replace the factory splits. the questions i have are... does the factory system have crossovers in there? if so where? i was hoping i could adapt the factory wiring to the aftermarket speakers like i have in the ...

dude, i did exactly the same thing a month or two back. just disconnected everything from the knuckle, got the drive shaft out (via gentle persuasion) and took it down to the local suspension guy. he replaced the bearings in the knuckle for me. i brought it home and in she went. all seems to be good...

na. too lazy. the 185 is on and in the boot. id have to put the 175 in, drive to a tyre joint, pay to have it switched over, etc etc. besides, think of the extra cooling power that extra air gives me! :D thanks for the suggestion though.
