pulled out the clutch cable yesterday. I stepped on one end of it and pulled on the other and what do you know? it was frayed and rusted on the inside. :p

thanks guys! I don't think its clutch related as I changed the clutch less than 2 months ago. I'm starting to think its clutch cable related as well, it's still not fixed so i'll probably replace the clutch cable tomorrow :???:

I took the spring and the clutch cable off the fork and I was able to move it about 1-1.5cm, the estimated 3cm wasn't measured and was just a rough guestimate :) Thank you Matatak for going to all that trouble for me, I appreciate your help buddy :mrgreen:

yeh the clutch fork can still be moved around a good 2-3cm's back (without the spring attached) without drama's and no strange noises or movements there. The spring attached (as seen in pics) to the fork pulls the fork back to place, does this spring also cause the pedal to spring back to place? I s...

I just replaced the clutch not even a month ago with a standard duty Excedy item. I hope the fork pivot point did not snap inside the gearbox cos that'd be the gheyest thing right now :( I had another look before at the pedal box and I can't see anywhere where a spring could have mounted to the peda...

Hi guys, My clutch pedal and clutch cable assembly has given up the ghost and I'm baffled as to wtf could have gone wrong. basically the pedal suddenly went soft and eventually the clutch could not even be disengaged with the pedal because the cable wasn't pulling the bracket that disengages the clu...

thanks guys.:) It's being a little b**ch at the moment, the thing accelerates really slowly in 3rd gear now for some reason, never used to do it. Also pings like mad now that I tuned it.
