Yes EA82T engines are notorious for that water/bubbling noise. You have to remove all the air in the coolant system to get rid of it (and I am not sure it is that easy to do). I read once (here on Ausubaru?) of 'burping' the radiator by parking the car on a slope/gradient but I cannot remember the sp...

Although Sprite green or Mimosa yellow would be cool, the amount of work put into this so far, deserves something custom!

Never been a 'fan' of Stahl's writing but the the fact he used a Tercel to extract a Subaru was more about his driving skills than the cars themselves (and not the point of the article!).

As for the GSR - will never forget it barrelling past me at 90 mph+ on the Hume between Goulburn and Yass ! Has any member got a GSR - besides Paul (he's likely got one:) ) And I thought everyone on Ausubaru had a GSR tucked away somewhere? http://i1180.photobucket.com/albums/x415/limesub/DSCF0182....

I had to laugh at the Lancer comment too... But not many of the old ones left, so completely understandable.

I should take my 1974 4 door sedan:

Decided if it is to be a parts supply or a fixer upper, or turn key transport ? Certainly a fixer upper! While it is in OK condition for having sat for over 9 years, there are some rust issues (of course!). Mainly in the tray and the bonnet. In fact I have never come across a bonnet that has an alm...

Cam seals? When worn these will leak from the front of the engine and down onto the exhaust manifold.

Perhaps this is your issue?

Yes the 'fat case' EA71 (later engines) have a different bellhousing with a side mount starter like the EA81. This allows you to use side mount starter gearboxes, such as the EA81 five speed. The block is referred to as 'fat case' because the water crossover pipe is incorporated into the block halve...

Yes, unfortunately that rust is quite bad and is actually affecting two different panels and the rain gutter.

Would not be an easy fix and if it is anything like the spare parts wagon I have, it spreads faster than you can blink...

If you are not saving the windscreen rubber I would imagine you could just cut away the rubber lip on one side with a Stanley knife. I suppose it is a bit fiddly!

Try Sikaflex 221. Online seems to be the only place to buy but plenty of sellers in OZ. Just a Google search away.

Sandable, paintable and applied with a caulking gun. Different colours too, grey, black and white.

I should have added that I have only ever seen one Leone sedan fitted with a sunroof in person. 2wd only but it had all the options - Power steering, air con, folding rear seats. I think this was all packaged together back in the day and sold for $800 or so on the manual versions, may have been stan...
