thought about L series struts and springs?

they feel like theyre better suited to the monster, but theres about 1" extra length in em with the MY strut tops so cv angles could be an issue

just another idea for you

all ya wanna do is put a block in at every point the body is bolted onto the suspension/drivetrain

make it as strong as possible... and theres no such thing as overkill 8)

i cant say ive ever seen a straight one... but the mounts on the ends f all of mine seem to be offset a bit...

have welded 50x50 angle along mine 6mm thick on the monsterwagon... will see how that goes

im not sure if ill be able to go the full 2 weeks but when we pick dates i will find out, i will prolly have to find a stand in at work 8)

but ive been stocking up on driveshafts and have only a few things to finish on the monsterwagon... well getting closer anyways

my vote is for making some stupidly thick steel plate bash plates for the rear diff... should add weight and keep it as low as possible and after driving the Twagon around in RWD with no weight in the back and not being able to get outta a flat paddock coz it was wet, i know that some weight back th...

okay... i thought it would be easier and stronget to make the L crossmember fit at the time because i had the welder and grinder out the MY ones would fit im sure with a bit of work too! :P oh and L seies mounts on the 5 speed box fit straight up to the MY crossmember but you have to stretch the rub...

i think mine are kelpro, got them from repco
they are still only rubber... not the fancy urethane ones and i did a lot of searching to not find anyone to make some urethane ones

and i still have 2 Brand Spanking New Ones if you want them :wink:

used the whole l series crossmember... looked stronger i just held the l series crossmember up and decided that all i needed to do was drill 2 holes either side for it and grind off all the bits that were going to get in the way once you know where its going to go and abouit where to put the holes f...

even brand spankin new ones have waaaaaay to much movement for my liking... id say buy 2 new ones and fill the gaps with some sorta urethane


and it just so happens i have 2 new ones i dont need because ive gone for the 5 speed on the monsterwagon

Sound deadening

Has anyone tried to sound deaded their roof???

im getting a pair of DD 15" subs and a Calibre amp

i know the roof will be vibrating and shaking all over the place

any reccomendations or ideas or anything???
