G'day again Subiefiles, Long time no post so a quick update. Sorry for the delay Willy but here are a couple of fairly useless pics to show how I rigged the throttles. http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q218/Pogachini/DSC_0066_1.jpg And http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q218/Pogachini/DSC_0067.jpg ...

L series wagon to brumby radiator question

Quick question, will an L series radiator fit into a brumby ute without modification? Or limited mods. Are they the same?

Cheers

Thanks for the info. I have a reasonable idea what I want to do. I have some 6x9s to build into the forward doors, some 4inch for the oem slots and an amp to power it all. Just trying to get my head around how to fit the head unit or more specifically which one will fit without spacers. I don't need...

Been ages since an update. So a few little and big things completed over the last few months. Replaced the tail shaft uni joints (they rattle and chatter as the rpm increases in my case). Also picked up a used 4speed and plonked it in. My reverse was stuffed. While I was there relaced the clutch and...

Thanks Bennie, The picks... With it all out of the way and ready to go... http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q218/Pogachini/20140102_135922.jpg The interim result. I'm not overly proud of the throttle cable set up but it does the job and cost nothing so can't argue. http://i137.photobucket.com/album...

So the silly season persisted for longer than anticipated.... However the weber carby is now on as is the exhaust. The exhaust actually didn't quite fit though it came off an another brumby (?? Older version?) so took it to the local pipe benders and got them to instal it for me. I also modded the e...

wellllll i know i said 'sit back and enjoy it' but what I really meant was 'get back in the garage and work on it' (it is a hobby) so, got a new exhaust sourced, it's in the garage and cleaned up ready for it's installation (I'm told it's not toooo loud thankfully just the suby rumble) and purchased...

Thanks for the reply there. Ended up finding the problem and yeh it was the cv. Specifically not having a circlip thanks to useless assembly. But all solved now and its running great. In the interm I replaced the front strut assembly, put new rims and tyres on her, improved the radiator set up, stri...

Alrighty I've hit a wall. There is a very Prominate cv style knock still coming from the front right. Happens only under load, sometimes straight ahead but always turning. It's quite loud. I've changed the struts, bearings, drive shafts and brakes. I just can't figure it out. All I can think is the ...

Thanks for the info. Really appreciate it.

No the wreckers don't have them unfortunately.

In the meantime going to put in new rubber seals for the windscreen and finish off the new wheels. Will post a pic for review when finished

Looks good from the outside. http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q218/Pogachini/20131129_091213.jpg Turns out since I bought it there is a LOT more work than anticipated so have gotten into it over the last week. G'day from Sydney

Hey guys,

Just bought a Brumby and starting the long task of restoring her to her former glory, as it has seen better days.
I've been a long time forum stalker and thought I'd finally join in the conversation. Thanks for having me and I'm sure I'll be pestering with questions shortly :)
