I was thinking that, I found the torque settings for the 1.8 sohc, just going to go with that, throwing on a bit of permatex threadlock to make sure too.

you don't by any chance know the crank bolt torque for the 1.6? that will be my next mission.

I removed both cam pulleys to replace the cam seals on my 97' Impreza ej16 & now I'm looking all over Google/Youtube & can not for the life of me find the Torque settings for the cam pulley bolts, I have the FSM's for both 93-96 & 97-98 Impreza's, but they only give me DOHC torque info, please help,...

today I removed the whole timing assembly, front/back timing covers, both cam seals, crank seal, oil pump & water pump. it is impossible to tell exactly where the leak is coming from, all the seals looked good visually but there was a lot of oil surrounding them, the oil pump had no gasket but there...

replacing my timing belt in my 97 impreza ej16 & the timing belt cover has a few broken pieces/cracks, im looking at replacing that while im at it, if anybody knows where i can get hold of a complete, new/good condition timing belt cover for an ej16 it will help me a lot thank you.

i found the 97-98 service manual doesn't get as far into detail as i hoped, the older impreza manual goes over everything with detailed pictures but that doesn't help me.

oil coming from behind timing belt cover, suggestions?

checked both rocker cover gaskets, they look fantastic, no signs of any damage.
