So one would assume it would also work the other way around...I'm trying to get MY springs in an L series strut btw. Yep same exact diameter spring. I've done the opposite to you as I could only get a hold of MY adjustable struts. But I modded the l series top hat to take the my strut. In the proce...

Not to worried about camber as my suby is 95% an ofroad vehicle it on goes on the bitumen for max 5 mins when taken out. Might have to make some strut tops

Add 1 inch strut tops to the front & Get custom raised springs instead of the ford laser springs.

I was thinking the other day if you put 2 inch strut tops on the front

With adjustable shocks set on low

How would this perform..

Cheers Bennie and Tambox,

I'm up in Karratha so one idler bearing would most likely be the good half of the price of a whole kit..

so I've got a kit on the way and will be installing it soon.

Will post pics of how I go, thanks again everyone.

Pretty sure they are non-interference engines. Could be worth trying a new set of belts. You should be able to rotate the cam with either an old section of belt or with a tool a bit like whats used on angle grinders (you can also do it by hand but its pretty awkward reaching down between the radiat...

Shes farked..

Go for the fuel straight in the carb. It'll most likely run for a bit then stall. I don't know what year your L is but the later ones the fuel pump only operates when the engine is turning over/running. A shot down the carb will help get fuel up to the carb. You might have to do it more than once ;...

I have seen the result of a kit fitted to some other make where a top was fitted with extra mounting studs, so new holes made. Kit came with reinforcement washers for those redrilled holes. You might consider doing same with reasonably solid washers Yeah I was thinking of something along those line...

You won't get an MY top hat to fit unless you either re-drill the suspension mount in the "L" or make an adaptor block. I must ask are you using a spring compressor. TOONGA Would re-drilling the L strut mount holes be a bad idea? Yes I used a spring compressor to remove old suspension and install t...
