DCOE side draught Vern on EA81

I've been looking around, and I can't find much about people using a Weber DCOE carby on an EA81. If I was going to spend the money on upgrading the carby I would prefer using the sidedraught over the DVG because of the superior tuneabilty and the sweet induction note they make. Has anybody seen a D...

EA81 Weber or spfi?

So it's gonna be a fair while before I manage an ej conversion in the brumby so in an effort to squeeze more power out of it between now and then im thinking weber or SPFI system.

Can anyone give me some pros and cons of each and how hard is the SPFI conversion?

Cheers for all the info guys, now I know what to look for, I'll need a part time d/r box. I think I might get an ej20 and a gearbox with an adapter plate put it all together ready to go and just change the lot out one weekend when I'm feeling keen. Fuji would of been good to see what you got when I ...

L series ea82 box into ea81 brumby

I found a gearbox out of an ea82 L series for a good price (pretty sure these are 5 speed, correct me if I'm wrong) and was wondering if it would fit into a brumby fairly easily. I'm confident the engine will bolt up to the ea81 fine but am unsure if the gear stick and 4wd engagement lever will be i...

Any L series or brumby gearboxes?

If anyone has any gearboxes lying around that still have the thrust bearing attached, I'm urgently after thust bearing and the carrier to go with it. It should be a a cast iron sleeve with little "wings" on the sides that clip to the clutch lever. If anyone has the carrier, with or without a bearing...

Wanted: Clutch thrust race carrier

Hi all, due to a monumental stuff up on my behalf, I'm after the carrier for the clutch thrust race to fit a 21 spline gearbox. As you can see, fitting the bearing back to front doesn't do wonders for it... http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/12/28/yde8yby7.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/12/28/hyzyquja.j...

Wanted: brumby 3.9 ratio diff

My brumby has a 4 speed DR 4WD box with 3.9:1 diff in the front. So I'm after a matching diff

The diff it currently has is 3.7:1 so the gearbox starts binding the moment I engauge 4wd.

I also have a spare 3.7:1 rear diff if anyone is intrested to trade

It's a 4 speed dual range. I did the maths and reckoned it would be around 3.9 but wasn't sure. So now to find someone who supplies diff gears

Gearing help!

So I picked up a gearbox to replace my stuffed one last week and put it in. The box is out of a brumby build date 01/90. The problem I've had is the final drive ratio is different from the diff ratio (3.700) the diff out of the donor brumby I got the box from is the same. So that isn't an option (cl...

Brumby gearbox bearings

Hoping someone could help me out here. My brumby has of late been making a hell of a grinding noise that seems to be coming from the front of the box, the sound goes away when the clutch is applied. a gearbox expert told me that the most likely source of the sound is an input bearing. He also told m...
