Weber. I was in the same position. Spent money trying to fix the old carb but should have just bought the bullet earlier. Noticeable torque increase with the weber.

I have 215 65 r14s on my standard height L. Only slightly massaged inner guard. Does suck a lot of power from the already underpowered ea82 tho.

L series radio and interior light wiring

Hey guys, I have installed a dual-battery system in my L and have hooked up spotties, cb, flood light etc to the house battery. Now I want to connect radio and interior lights to the second battery. Once these two wires are through the firewall into the engine bay where do they come out? Anyone happ...

Thanks mate. Finally understand how the lift blocks effectively lower the cv angles before you then increase them with the strut lift.

Guess there's not much point swapping the suspension over from the old car then hey.

Going to put the adjustable struts I got from my old (85) wagon in the good car in Hope of a lift.

Lift for L Series

Hi everyone,

A question: Will I need to extend brake lines if I install a 3' strut top lift and 2' rear suspension lift on my L? No body lift.

Cheers,
James

Wanted - l series panels

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some panels for an L Series in WA. Any colour is fine. Condition does not need to be perfect either.

I need:
Bonnet
LHS front quarter panel.
Front bumper.

Pm or reply if you have anything like this.

Also, can you transplant this adjustable suspension into a newer L series (93)? Would I get any more high gain over my current set up with factory spec pedders springs?

1985 l series

Okay, so I picked up this car today for a couple hundred bucks. Thinking of fixing it up enough to use around my dad's property. But first, some questions. This l seems to have adjustable suspension. Two bolts under each spring base plate to raise and lower at the front, but not sure how the back wo...

Bennie put me onto rockauto.com. That is where I got all my seals and gaskets. Got a full engine seal and gasket kit for about 100$ I believe.

Weber is in place and running great. I also went through and removed all the old emissions and vac stuff I no longer need. Finally some space to work in the engine bay What a difference it makes to everyday driving: smooth idle, much more responsive under foot and a noticable improvement in power to...
