Better make an update. I sold the Brumby last week to make way for a newer, bigger ute. I'm gonna miss it but it was about time I got into a new car.

Repaired the indicator return the other day. Never new the lever was meant to flick back on brumbys haha.

Used some thin metal rod and dremel'd it into shape. Works like a charm now!

Haven't dropped in on my page for a while. Not alot to report except that one of the boots on my new cv shaft broke again. Which annoyed me a fair bit.
Also threw a slim sub behind the passenger seat, looks a lot neater now!

Yeah the kemptons ones look really good. I would have to replace the saddles and get a new brace across the middle. Did they supply it aswell?

Yeah I really didn't expect it to be the filter. The way it just started playing up. Now with a new filter I can see it had been causing troubles for a while, especially at 110kmh you could feel the motor hunting and surging. That seems to have cleared up now. So I'm pretty happy now haha. Cheers, S...

WTB: Tonneau cover for 85 brumby.

Been looking for a tonneau cover for my brumby, or a place that might have them for a reasonable price. I've checked Kemptons and a few other places and have been quoted $280 odd, which is pretty good, but it doesnt hurt to see what's available.
I'm in the riverina area, nsw.

RSR Gets the bonus points here. I pulled the rear filter out and chucked a spare pulsar one we had in the shed in it. Not the best fit but will do until I get a hold of some subi ones. Revs so much more freely than i remember and accelerates really well too. I think its been causing troubles for a w...

Will do, hopefully it's something dumb. Might even improve the power a bit as it's always seemed sluggish and dies at wide open throttle.

Haha I didn't see any light blue territories yesterday. So hopefully I'm safe.

The brumby near shat itself itself today. When accelerating to around 80 it would start to surge or bang pretty violently.
I have noticed the fuel pump is sounding less lively than usual, so hopefully that is all it is. Sucked driving home from Wagga at 70kmh.

Replaced a tonneau hook the other day as it broke off some where down the track. The kit was about $15 at supercheap. So Ive got a few spares. Thats what I started with. It was broken on a weird angle so the drill wouldnt dig in. I ended up using a drift punch to quickly knock ...

I NEED MORE POWER!
Went to tumut for the weekend with a mate and cruising through the Adelong hills was a bit 'how ya goin'. Really struggled up the steep ones, think it might be time for a new exhaust and a carby rebuild!

Cleaned and painted the hubs silver and cleaned a heap of mud out of the wheel arches and the rims. Got the shudder out of it! I also ran a couple of 6mm earths off the battery. My lights dim alot when revs are low so i thought better earths might be a good start. And a pic of the tacho i installed ...

Took all the wheels off the brumby. Cleaned and painted the hubs silver and washed the wheels and rims. Greased a few parts underneath while it was on the hoist.
Gave the windows a good clean too!
