same thing happened to my 98 Forrie, and was told by the panel beater that fixed it that the green is the factory primer.

I think you'll find that the crank is 90 deg out. The mark that you want to line up is at the back of the pulley, not the front. It's on the flange with the pickups for the crank sensor. The keyway should be pointing straight down.

Is this clear enough? This is the crossbred kit for the rear only.

just to clarify, you can use the box out of a forrie with it's matching diff, but you will need the manual tailshaft from an outback or liberty. you can use the clutch setup from the forrie too. Also, check the flange bolt pattern on the front of the diff, as there are differences.

85-94 L SERIES LEONE S/WAGON KFFS-45 KSRS-03 listing only had these springs, and they were standard height. From what I've noticed, the kings part Nos work something like this... KSRS = Kings Subaru Rear Standard (fwiw the KFFS-45 is the same part as the fwd Ford Capri) I got this out of a .pdf that...

yeah, 'IT' would be the electric motor. I just had a second look at the photos. Looks like an 'L' series? the centre diff is to allow the front and rear wheels to turn at different speeds while cornering. The problem is, you don't have one. So if you engage 4wd while on bitumen and try to turn, the ...

the problem is that there is no centre diff. It should work the same as it did with just a straight tailshaft, ie. don't engage 4wd on hard surfaces. I guess that with the box in fwd you could still add some extra drive from the electric motor to the rear wheels. Also, if you had the box in neutral ...

same thing happened to my Brumby. The switch on the lever under the console had broken. I got another switch from a MY wagon, but had to change the plug to make it fit the wiring loom.

if you look at the pic I posted, the inner bearing race is the collection of bits, and that is supposed to press onto the exposed part of the hub next to it. The inner race of the outer bearing is still on the hub, as i couldn't get it off. If you look at the hub, it has a lip on the end, and that i...

the different springs change the shape of the advance curve. As it is only pulling on one spring to start with, it advances quicker, until it gets to the point where the second spring comes into play. Different springs will change how fast it advances, and the length of the slots change total advance.

So this is what we found today. The front wheel had a couple of centimetres of play in the bearing. http://www.ausubaru.com/coppermine/albums/userpics/Picture_003.jpg So after building a jig so I could pull out the old bearing, and applying a lot of heat, it eventually came out. The hub was stuffed,...

hydraulic push clutch.

I have checked the hydraulic clutch pedal assembly from the forrie and it fits into a 93 G1 Liberty, and also you can convert the Forrie box to cable clutch by removing the clutch fork pivot ball and screwing it into the lower hole, then fitting the cable clutch parts.

i have compared the cable clutch on my '93 Lib to the hydraulic clutch on my '98 Foz and they are interchangeable. To make it fit I had to move the pivot ball for the clutch fork, but the threaded hole is there in the gearbox housing. They are both non turbo so that means push clutch... I think? the...

so you're using a G1 box in a G2 then? I was wondering about the cable clutch. you should be able to get a speed sensor to just plug into the G1 box. I did it the other way, and took the speed sensor off my 98 forrie box and put the G1 cable straight on. I will be watching what you do with the wirin...
