Yeah appears they are used on several subaru models, so therefore you would think wouldnt be so hard to source at a reasonable cost, its pretty sad that the cheapest way to get a new sensor is to buy it from the USA but Im not desperate at the moment and shouldnt take that long in the mail, so thank...

map sensor forester ej20

Hey all was just wondering does anyone know where you can purchase reasonably priced map sensors for subaru foresters, I have enquired at the local bursons store and they quoted me $737 for an original supplier or $435 for a RAE branded one, seems excessive and ebay does not have the map sensor requ...

No just going to see if these leads go the distance considering the original had done 195,000k and then these top gun leads lasted about 2,000km. Changed air and fuel filters, plugs, o2 sensor, upper head cleaner even got it retuned with a new timing belt by the mechanic, was going to replace the ig...

If the 01 model has the 15inch rims its a bit of a bitch but I am currently running (2nd Set now on a 00 model) of coopers atr 205/70r15 and yeh you get what u pay for approx $220 a tyre shop around though. Tough tyre never had a puncture and you get big mileage out of these tyres being a bit harder...

Yeah ok well, i have a 00 forrester which has had similar problems backfiring and spluttering at low revs, replaced lots of bits and pieces and finally got some top gun leads which solved the problem for a few months and then started backfiring and spluttering again ! so this time took it to the mec...

Squeaking tailgates.

Hi all just entering this small but annoying problem here as I have finally come across something that helps nullify this prob. For years I have been using armor all and a dry wax stick to help eliminate this prob. When out of frustration googled it elsewhere and found that silicone spray is the ans...

Yep loved the race but it was annoying there were so many touregs and ktm690's. If subaru were to invest money ever again in racing, what would they race for the dakar ? A heavily modified wrx just wouldn't have the clearance or angle departure etc. And unfortunately I am not a great fan of the late...

Hi all I have been captivated by the "dakar" and love all classes but you have to wonder really are any of these vehicles like the tourareg that race this race are ever going to be seen here in this form. I mean they are fantastic vehicles and would even make me contemplate forgoing a sube for one, ...

I have been running pedders coils on my 00 forrie for over 4years now with no probs standard height, which still will raise them approx 1cm or more. Back end was seriously sagged out after only 40k ! I have heard that self levelling suspension will not respond once a stiffer coil is put on, maybe bu...

Great stuff but seriously expect snow and black ice on elevated roads/areas etc actually in july expect it down to sea level (I kid you not). Some of the best places to see are affected by snow and ice. Strathgordon is brilliant and the central lakes are magnificent (good pub too).

The washup of all this was, yeah changed the blown hose but had to take it to abs who had 2 reverse pressure flush the system, something i wasn't going to achieve that easily at home. The plunger in the master was also sticking so this was also changed. Finally back on the road now to investigate th...
