id be investigating further. ive never heard of this problem on this model motor, nor is it common. I also doubt youd be losing that much thru PCV lines. No obvious leaks/seaping gaskets? Doesn't hurt to change your PCV valve, it's really easy to do. My Forester burns oil (No leaking) of about 500ml every 500-1000km depending how I drive. I know it's either the rings or valve stem seals. Keep and eye on your oil, top it up, maybe even put a thicker oil in. Change your PCV valve too ...

Hey Guys

I have a 2004 liberty 2.5i and it consumes quite abit of oil. Does anyone know if fitting an oil cooler will help this issue? I know it is a bit of an issue with that motor but has anyone seen any fixes for this problem?
