mmmm..so there' a challenge. the exhaust note! Suppose I'll chat with the exhaust guru and see if we can come up with a Y join somewhere. Wouldnt like an odd and rotten note.

As for Subaruenza re your signature Steptoe- I suggest Doobiedubbers!, Doubledubbers, scrubberdubber.....

thanks guys ok so it seems the Subie engines need a pipe between them not unlike some old motorcycle engines. That's what I needed to know. I've copied that odd looking but great exhaust system for my exhaust expert. He can make up some SS radiator pipes at the same time! I'll find an ideal location...

EA81 no Y pipe twin system?

About to start my EA81 conversion in a few weeks into my trike. Am not desiring to use a "Y" pipe connector under my vehicle. Easier design wise to run each side of the exhaust to the side and under to an approapriate muffler then out. Problem? Will the subie engine suffer from no Y pipe? Considerin...

little white ute asked Can I ask why you want to take out an engine with a fairly reliable air cooling system and fit a water cooled engine which needs a radiator? Where are you fitting the radiator? I get these questions a lot. Yeh am tired answering them really mainly because it becomes a debate.....

EA81 Panther trike with type 3 VW auto

New to this forum hi to all. Have a two year old Panther trike with custom one off roof with sunroof. Has a 1916cc aircooled vW engine at present mated to a type 3 auto. http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/yy330/eaglefree/100_0450.jpg I decided a while back to convert it to EA81 power. Thanks again Toonga. I'm likely to sell the engine complete though. I have considered the twin carb set up on the EA81 but I'm an older guy that has been there done that. Used to have Lotus powered Ford escorts in the 70's. I wonder how much power increase I'd get with the twin's on the ea81? and ho...

Hello all. My ownership is a little unusual. http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/yy330/eaglefree/100_0450-2.jpg it is a Panther trike with a custom roof. Currently has a VW 1916cc engine mated to a type 3 full automatic. I'm over the VW thing being down on power and not ideal in my view for towing my...
