I got a huge quote to get my window fixed :rolleyes: I don't trust the mechanic much. My driver's window started winding up and down more and more unreliably. Then it stopped altogether - fortunately I managed to get the window up first, but now it's sunk about an inch & I'll finally have to get it ...

Hey Mitch - how'd you go? I have a 2005 Forester and mechanic is telling me motor is blown and the reason the motor is blown is because of a faulty switch. For a long time the driver's window wound up & down intermittently and then it stopped completely. Got quoted an enormous amount - over $1200 or...
