thanks for the advise. I don't think it's the fan as the temp rose at high speed so there should be enough cooling wind. how can I check for a cloged radiator? and how to replace thermostate?

the car has 190,000 km on it. I bought it from the first owner 20,000 km ago. don't know what it's history but as I said. never had to add one drop of oil or water. how hard is it to change gasket DIY? is that why the car is underpowered?

my new flares

after a warning I got from the cops about my off-set I decided I have to put the flares on if I don't want to get a yellow sticker. also trimmed the front fenders. http://subaruesh.spaces.live.com/photos/

yes, get them on as soon as you can. I was just pulled over by the cops last week, luckily they where in a good mood and let me go after I promised I'll get some flares the next day. so I went to clark's rubber but they only had the 60 mm ones and they too wide so I ordered the 40 mm. still waiting ...

can't see the difference. in both original and modified the mount is connected to the plate by the one bolt. in the original it's under and in the modified it's above

make of lift

yes, it's hi-rise. and yes it's a good idea for that block. saves 2 blocks. i think it only works with a 3" lift. you cange the position of the plate from under to on top.
