Car picked up on Monday after third visit in couple weeks ... all work waranty.... Data has been logged and sent into Sydney... So its serious something found. Have feeling timming belt has been replaced but not sure.... Need to test myself on weekend and see how it goes...

The Shudder is not as common in the past few months but does rear its head ever so often. I would say maybe one every 2 to 3 weeks instead of twice daily over summer?

As said service guy said leave with him as they are working with Sydney to find a solution.

Been told PAK file already loaded and therefore moving onto the next things to try. Dealer is talking to Subaru in Sydney on what next. Today they took the car the whole day ended up playing with the MAP sensor, did a 100km+ test and did not deny that there was no problem. I think they know there is...

I have my car booked in this Friday a PAK file (update on firmware) is available which supposedly fixes the shudder issue. Oh well its worth a try.
Will update more and see where this leads!

Hey Mess with the shudder almost non existent in these cooler months especially in ACT what will the techs find? Please keep us posted as Ive had no news from my dealer... Not looking forward to summer if the issue is not resolved by then...

Definetely driving style helps, but when you get stuck in traffic in the morning and then halfway home the issue for me occured.

The shudder was felt and controlled by downing to 4th.

although the shuddrr more likely the dpf clean happended more than 5 times in a half hour trip home...

I have had it once last week and probably been good for at least 3 weeks in a row. however knowing to drive it harder and long trips over the weekend probably is helping... It could also explain why it occurs more in the afternoon for me than first thing in the morning to work.

Has anyone noticed Diesel Extra at Shell stations? I filled up with this and did some google and it revals this fuel may help to reduce particulate matter... maybe worth while seeing if this will help in Dpf and shudder issues? so far car is more responsive and runs quiter.

Further research has revealled Diesel extra could help out to reduce the particulate matter lessening the impact of blockages in the dpf filter?? only time will tell but it certainly drives smoother and responsive so far...

suthol, my response from subaru was very similar. I think they use the same response and edit based on locality. I think we should all email and get written confirmation of a date since the longer this goes for then the more liekly we will loose value in the vehicle...

Hi Teye did you take your car into subaru dealer? was the O ring fitted as waranty or did you pay? did you tell dealer about the fix or did they suggest and did it for you? how did you confirm shuddering fixed?
