Thanks everyone. It was the master cylinder pistons. Only Subaru had the repair kit. It was shipped from Sydney. I was going to replaced the boot and reservoir seal as well but there were no stocks in Australia.

The pedal did not come back up to the top by it self. I had to lift it back up.

The fluid level is okay. No sign of leak on the master and slave cylinder. everything looks dry. It is however due now for fluid replacement as per the maintenance schedule.

Lost of clutch while stopping at the lights. The clutch will stay at the top until nudged then will drop to the bottom. RAC thinks the clutch or diaphragm collapsed. RAC towed it back to my house. After a few days of being parked out in the front verge, I started car and the clutch is working again....
