Passenger side intake manifold gasket seems to be the problem.
Mech friend of mine found it.
Guess its always worth going back to basics
Anyone done a manifold gasket before? any hiccups.

Cheers, Radiator flush was done about 10,000km ago when i replaced a cracked radiator. oil flush/change done about 1000kms ago, air filter 10,000km ago carby cleanered air idle control valve and all round/in throttle body yesterday. Still worth doing? Found this interesting thread on knock sensors.....

thanks brumbykid, I'm trying some injector cleaner at the moment, see how that goes.. injectors were cleaned about 20,000kms ago if it matters? yeah, it was a new knock sensor... So I connected black-black, and green-green plugs.. turned ignition to on not starting changed gear lever from P to N to P full throttle on accellerator for a few seconds back off throttle, start car drive for a minute or more above 12kmph And got a new fault code....

I'm a little hesitant to wipe the code.. Or will the code come back if there is an ongoing problem with new knock sensor? Also found out from Subie that head gaskets are Farked, but there isnt any oil in coolant, or vise versa... at this stage.. Is it a ticking time bomb till the engine overheats? I...

Hey, so found my radiator is crack on the front of one of the side tanks. I have a 92 EJ22 liberty. I am going to cruise the wreckers tomoz, but Wanted to know if i need a radiator out of same 92 model, or if i can maybe find the same radiator in a later model with less kms... anything else to look ...

planning on replacing waterpump on monday, day off... So picked up some parts today. Awesome, Just found the SOHC Timing belt procedure PDF. Looks like i have to take off passenger side cam pulley wheel to access waterpump? is there any way i can stuff the engine up (as i did with a DOHC suby) by bending valves etc... if im a little heavy handed with getting the bolts undone? looks ...

So, turns out the stupid-arse last owner didnt replace water pump when he did timing belt 37,000kms ago. So i guess i'll try replacing the waterpump first... recon i should go new pump, or go to the wreckers and try and find a car with similar k's (ie 137,000, or 237,000)??? i used to own a 94 liber...

Hi, I've recently had coolant dripping at about 1 drip/sec when the car is running, a bit faster when its hot. Looks like its dripping down from the centre of the engine, slightly the passenger side of the car. dribbles from somewhere unseen and then drips onto sump housing... Could this have also s...
