Re: RS wagon...

Of the two EJ20s one is in storage at a mates place, I purchased it sight unseen other then seeing a few pics. So not sure what it actually is until I get around to collecting it. But I’m hopeful it is an original Ph 1. The other one I do have at home is actually from a JDM donor and is the Ph 1. It...

Re: RS wagon...

Amazing work Bennie. Finding time to work on our Subaru’s is a challenge. And thank you for sharing. My daily drive these days is a 93 Lib Wag. And I more recently started on dropping the roof lining for repair, and let me just say it’s just like you described. I also wanted to remove the gutter gar...

Being familiar with the blue mountains, I understand the air can be thin at times. Its like you feel like a funny bugger, until you realize that what you have to offer, is worthless. Maybe a Wenty Falls thing!

Has full factory exhaust, is there a way to tell if your cat is blocked? I recently had a health check on my 93 Liberty exhaust system. The mechanic removed the EGO sensor and used one of those flexible hose type cameras (like a bore-o-scope type hand held unit) to visually inspect the Cat converte...

Were the Kmac ones a direct fit, or did you have to fudge the 3 holes? They were a direct fit. No bodgyness at all was needed. couldn't be easier. Plus you get about 10mm lift on the front because of the design versus the OEM strut tops. Just not the cheapest option at $480 a pr. But they are nicel...

I have looked at replacing those bearings myself, and yes they do appear to be crimped in. Ended up just replacing the whole strut top with K-mac units. These have a pillow ball arrangement, problem solved and the obvious bonus of camber/caster adjustment!

So guys what is the reason or benefit from using a normal MPFI L series TB on the spider manifold! Seems like a bit of mucking around so whats the deal with that?

Sounds like valve train IMO, but hopefully your right about belt tensioner or similar. If its original donk, 211000 kms odd dont seem like much unless its been abused or neglected by previous owners.

Was 1997 the year they went from hydraulic to solid lifters in the EJ series...
