I got hold of an EJ18 from an Impreza and swapped the camshaft, distributor and front timing pulley
Saved stuffing about to much, mum needed her car back

Most people throw them away, a mate of mine sold one with 70k on it for $90 with wiring & computer, you really need to to join something like RSLC or some Impreza forums, possibly REXNET and put a wanted add up, heaps of people have done conversions and have the old motors laying in their sheds, yo...

EJ18!? Well just saw the sticker under the bonnet it says EJ18 And seeing as none of the numbers on the compliance plate match those on the firewall seems a bit wierd? Looks like I'll can the EJ22 and start looking for an EJ18 :p ( just like the one that was posted up before, at the auction sale that ended...

It appears that the car originally came with an EJ22 Can you grab the entire VIN number and whatever is written on the ECU? If it is a genuine import Legacy, the VIN will start with BF or BJ If it is an Aus delivered vehicle with Legacy badges, the VIN will start with either JF1 or JF2 Vin:JF2FBFBA...
