Dunno; not weighed, but the ea82 is lightweight and I would say at least 150kg more. Fgot 2 add if anyone does this go at least 72v with the motor to keep up with 80kmh traffic. 36v is too slow even with 54v through it.

Belt slip

An alternative is to try the type of belt used to drive ride on mower blades. If you can find the right size and pitch.They are usually green in colour and designed to resist a lot of heat and vegetation oiling.

Hill holder;

18, but the car was 14 : I think I understand; similar to the old Chrsler vip mercury ignition light switch. There must be a sensor indicating horizontal attitude of the car which activates brake pressure above a set angle with brake pressure released by the clutch depression.It sounds similar to Is...

Hill holder

Thank you for your answer. If I said that my first car was a 1948 lowlite Morris Minor could you guess how old I am? Hill holder? As Pauline Hanson said: " Please explain" How does this devil-magic work?

Clutch cable question

Hi Guys; Still on the electric sub. Have motor removed. I intend to remove clutch fork from bell housing and use the clutch pedal cable for an emergency disconnect. What does the second cable to the hydraulic cylinder on the left subframe do? is it just an hydraulic assist? Will it affect anything e...

diff ratios

Thank you; 4.11 is 11% reduction; 4.444 is 20 %.Any idea of approproximate cost? Other option is to remount motor with forklift reduction cog on diff flange which gives 30%reduction; but at 100ks in front wheel drive electric motor would be freewheeling at approximately 3,500rpm.Will have to find ou...

diff interchange

Hi; still persevering with the electric sub. As mentioned, the L 3.7 diff ratio is too high; is there a 4.4 or thereabouts that will interchange with the L diff?

subarev

Yes; car still has fwd fully operational. Pics show early fitment of forklift motor. Motor is really too small for this car and would be better in the small subaru that weighs 650 kg. Batteries are old forklift batteries and run down quickly. Top speed is only 40kmh on level ground with 4.5k distanc...

Bolt pattern

Hi, Brian from Hunter Valley. I would like to obtain a schematic diagram of the bolt pattern motor to gearbox for a 1989 L series 4wd wagon, Australian model. It is a 1.8 L carby engine. At the moment it is a hybrid with a 36V motor driving the rear diff. This works but the 3.7:1 ratio is too high f...
