Hey mate. Great to see a French car enthusiast out there! I used to mess around with Renault 10s, 12s, and 16s but also had a 504 diesel for a while. UPULLIT did 4 cylinder engines for around $300 last time I checked, and they come with a warranty also. Why not go visit and drop the oil out of a few...

POR 15 does a great job, but expensive. KBS is an Australian alternative and isn't too expensive and is fantastic. They do kits, and the paint is the BOMB.

Hah! :p At least if the beast was body lifted enough you could have some space up top of the engine there to mount the monster. ;) I reckon you could have the barrel sealed all the way through the cabin and then all the magazine etc in the tray. You know, so you could keep the centre of gravity a b...

Having previously owned an L series with rear discs I am familiar with the braking performance of them and steptoe is correct- rear drums are more likely to lock than rear discs. I was advocating that in light of the t.ridden's rationale for safer emergency braking, combined with the prohibitive cos...

Have you considered other options here? An emergency stop throws the majority of braking force to the front wheels if it is fitted with a proportioning valve, and the majority of energy would be removed via the front wheels anyway if it didn't have one. Upgrading the rear brakes would likely do very...

Hi Carlina.
You would get much more information from this forum by starting your own thread, perhaps in the introduction section.
You might even like to see the members' rides section and see what others are driving.

Too right! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/140995158774?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649 I'm being ambitious in pricing for the ebay listing but the buy-it-now price is way lower. There is a couple of hundred bucks worth of gear here but I would be cool with around $150 from a forum me...

Early MY04 Outback headunit question

Hi folks. I'm looking for a solution for my new outback. The stock stereo sounds fine for my needs but it is really annoying not having an aux input. I have scoured the net looking for an answer, but my headunit seems a little unique. It is probably the last car ever to have a standard in-dash tape ...

Thule roof racks and accessories all unused

Hi folks. Having a clean out and re-discovered a bunch of new Thule stuff I had been hoarding. All bits are brand new in boxes and I've double checked that all parts are there. They were being run out at a Repco (or similar) a while back and I just bought them thinking I'd find a use one day. They a...

I went for the Bridgestones. They looked almost new and I ended up getting the 4 fitted for $500, and I got them do a full alignment as part of the deal.
They are the ER300s. They look and ride pretty good, but there is a decent bit of winter coming up and we'll see how they fare.
