I've been looking all over for some info about these things but i can't seem to find anything... a friend of mine got a used set of 'super special' KYB DirtRA gravel shocks off japanparts.com and unfortunately one of the rears is blown. i am doing an ej22 swap into my 79 and i'm wondering about the same thing... why do you need a return line from the serge tank to the fuel tank? won't the pressure from the serge tank being full stop it from pumping just like a float bowl stops the fuel from coming into the tank? i'm really not sure...

that was Ken Block's old rally car from last year... they put something like 300lbs of sand in the trunk to make it fly straight... they blew 2 struts i think... (these are ohlin coilovers i think... so like 20k US for a set or something stupid like that....) that was done for a segment on adrenalin...

a lot of that stuff on that ram engine isn't that important when it comes to a car... don't bother using forged pistons and internals... its not really worth the money unless you plan to wind this thing up to 9k rpm on a regular basis... just go with high CR ea71 pistons... a proven and cheap mod(as...

I'll go against the flow of this thread and tell you to build an EA81!! :D there are TONS of things you can do to an EA81 to give it more performance... although a high performance ea81 probably won't be as good as an ej22... :wink: instead of converting to a weber carb, convert to SPFI off an ea82...

hmmm alright this may take some thinking... now i'm somewhat confused... i know the rear brakes will just bolt right on... the haven't changed the rear brake mounting pattern since my car was made... a little bit of bending and cutting was required to make the RX brakes fit but it all went smoothly....

hey-o all, i'd be interested in getting this kit (not right now though... i'm broke) but i want to make sure it'll fit my car... now i'm not very up to date with my ausie lingo so i'm unsure if this kit will fit my car... i have a 79 brumby which is begging to stop faster... especially since an ej22...

nah thats the thing... i'm pretty sure you can't... i'd like to be able to run different struts too... stiffen it up a bit... and also i am pretty sure i can't run aftermarket brakes and such while using xt6 hubs? anybody know? lol and its great to be here on the 'other' side... i still live in cana...
