ya the button on the stick is to shift from front wheel drive to 4 wheel drive... i think when he says 'vacuum overdrive' he's talking about the 4wd shifter system... see, when you press that button, it sends an electrical signal to a vacuum acutator that will pull on a cable on the trans, which in ...

that was Ken Block's old rally car from last year... they put something like 300lbs of sand in the trunk to make it fly straight... they blew 2 struts i think... (these are ohlin coilovers i think... so like 20k US for a set or something stupid like that....) that was done for a segment on adrenalin...

a lot of that stuff on that ram engine isn't that important when it comes to a car... don't bother using forged pistons and internals... its not really worth the money unless you plan to wind this thing up to 9k rpm on a regular basis... just go with high CR ea71 pistons... a proven and cheap mod(as...

I'll go against the flow of this thread and tell you to build an EA81!! :D there are TONS of things you can do to an EA81 to give it more performance... although a high performance ea81 probably won't be as good as an ej22... instead of converting to a weber carb, convert to SPFI off an ea82...
