Don't know if it will help anyone, but I think I've got one of these in a 13" somewhere down behind my shed..you know the place you chuck all the excess stuff! If anyone's interested, I'll dig through the pile and confirm.
Only I'm on the Sunny Coast, QLD....

RX Turbo Steering Wheel

Well, I've almost got all the parts I need to replicate an 85 RX turbo from a non turbo Leone body I have here, but am hoping to get hold of a better (less worn) steering wheel than the one on it... Does anybody have contact with Wagonist on this forum? He mentioned he might have one spare on a post...

Thanks for the reply guys. I happen to have an old L wagon for parts here too, so looks like i'll be leaning towards finding the cleanest L sedan sometime soon (so probably a FWD auto) and converting it over!

If you have time, and a bunch of spare fuses..process of elimination is the best way...As per all the above comments... Also, which fuse is blowing? If it is not blowing when the ignition is on , and only when started, make sure A/C is off - as per steptoe. And any other accessories too. That would ...

Thanks Andrew, That's what I was hoping to hear :) Truth be told, I have an 86 RX Turbo which has a very good interior, but a shocking chassis - well beyond repair, so even though the VIN won't be original, I'm going to start looking for a doner chassis, but as with cars..the less rust you start wit...

Thanks Bantum...as they're getting hard to find rust free, I'm looking at all the options. Especially a 'Granma's Car' which has been sitting in the garage and only to church on Sundays..will be the rust free by far, but most likely 2wd Auto :)

L series leone fwd auto to 4wd conversion question

Hi All, I'm looking at my options regarding trying to get a rust free fwd L series leone sedan and converting it to 4wd. I remember looking under the back of a 2wd and realise I will have to 'create' the rear diff hanger mounts, however does anyone know if the centre tail shaft mount bracket exists ...

Hi Guys, I went through this about 5 years ago, so forgive the brain if it's a bit rusty :) I had 2 L's with poor clocks so went to the effort to install 75 ohm 5 watt resistors in place of the 2W ones. The resistors were still quite hot in normal operation considering that the higher wattage should...

I am just starting to do my conversion (EJ22 engine into L) as I've (finally) got hold of a complete 91 lib Auto and have been identifying all the wiring before dismantling. To answer your question, there is 1 pin on the ECU that comes via the gearbox to tell the ECU that you are in neutral or park....

All I remember about fitting the diff locker (was about 10 years ago now), was that we used the standard L 3.9 diff and removed the 'guts' of it and fitted the detroit part in it's place.... I still have the bits we removed in a box somewhere!

Hi Guys, I don't post much, but thought i'd share my experience. I have a detroit locker in the rear diff of my L series. I don't know much about the locker physically, but it has it's good's and bad points.. Good Points 1. Keeps you going up hills as you keep traction when one wheel pops up, don't ...

Anyone seen my old RX turbo ??

Hi Guys, After seeing Gannon's RX Turbo purchase recently, it got me to thinking about my old silver '87 RX. Looked very similar to Gannon's, only pin-stripes an obvious difference. I bought it as an off roader about 12 years ago and owned it for 5 years. Loved it as an off roader, but to nice to 'd...
