Yeah your right im still fine tuning.
I want to pull the standard shock out completly and put a peice of webbing in that i can adjust the length of easily so that i can work out exactly how much down travel i can get without allowing the spring to pop out.

Yeah i probably gained less than an inch or so in lift (Cvs seem ok with it). When i welded the seats back on to the standard shocks after tearing them off the first time, i blew holes in them so i dont use them anymore as shocks they just hold the springs. By getting rid of them i can also get more...

I have fitted the accord springs in the back of my l series and they are great. A lot stiffer but still drivable. The do give you some extra lift but if you are using standard shocks you wont benifit much from this. The only problem i have found is that because they are longer if you bottom them out...

You will be able to make it most of the way down but there is a hill just b4 the mouth that i wouldnt try getting up unless you have another 4x4 with you. you can just stop and walk to the mouth from there though so its definatly worth the trip.

Looks like a helicoil will be the first thing i try then.

The next question is can they be put in without taking the head off?
The plug seat is a long way in and how would you stop shaving going into the bore?

Cheers for you help guys

Stripped Spark Plug

Just after some advice i have got an EJ22 in a liberty that now has a stripped sparkplug hole. It literally blew the plug out under its own power. Just looking to find out if anyone has had any luck with using a helicoil to repair such a problem or whether i would be better off looking for another h...

Adapters are only like $30 from a good auto shop so i reckon its worth buying one for the time it would take to make one properly. Redline are the ones who make them.

I have a pod on an lifted l series ea 82 carby. With the lift it fits ok. I didnt have time to mod my air box when i put a weber on so i just used a peice of 90mm stormwater pipe and a couple of fittings with the pod filter. It works ok for a temporary thing. I love the sound it makes now so i haven...

Yeah i have a set of these "Winter Treads" on at the moment. I dont mean to ruin your excitement but they wear very quickly on the road. Off road they are awesome however they are a very soft compound which meant that i only got about 7000km out of the two on the frount. This is however probably sti...
