the solanoid wont be weakened otherwise it would not engauge the power to the starter motor... unless the little rod and bar thing that connects the terminals is "longer" or out of alignment so that the starter moter gets power before the cog is engauged???? My guess would be worn pivot and cog end ...

I did some research on turboing a SOHC EJ22 but never pursued it that fardue to $$$ constraint What I do recall is the EJ22 is used instead of the EJ25 because it is a stronger block with thicker cylinder walls more suited to high HP applications. Apparently EJ25 crank and rods are the go as they dr...

Ideally i would have triangulated back to the firewall but I am planning a different IC to go in there and it was not practical, so I went for the straight one. Yes, I agree there will be tower movement in the forward/back direction, but in/out will be severly restricted (as long as the adjusted is ...

There are several schools of thought on this one, and it really depends on what car you are putting it on and what you are trying to achieve. General principles dictate that when you strengthen any given part of a car you will transfer some of the stress to a diferant part of the car and "may" creat...

I would rather learn the car and develop my feable skills on the more progressive loose stuff....... should be entertaining catching up with each oth...

There are two pain in the ass clips that attach the moulded backing plactic piece behing the latch and locking lever. The clips are on the top and bottom sides and in the middle, you should only need to unclip the top one (easier to get at) and then it will come off the bottom clip. To undo the clip...

250kph Motorcycle Vs VW.....
A picture is worth a thousand words. The Honda rider was traveling at such a "very high speed", his reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident. Swedish Police estimate a speed of ~250 KM/h (155mph) before the bike hit the slow moving car side-on at an intersection. At that speed,...

Someone here may be able to set me straight but I thought series 1 turbo Legacys (JDM EJ20G) were 155kw at the flywheel standard, the next series which included the first of the WRX's were ~165kw I think and they have hovered around that mark ever since (bar STi's and TT's). This is still a big impr...

Apologies to any that may have taken offence at my question, I am not trying to "stir the pot" and did not want to start a sh!t fight. As most of you are probably aware NZ has a similarly diverse ethnic population with some groups hell bent on having their opinions heard. While we have not yet had "...
