Is your rear diff the same ratio as your gearbox?

If not you're going to have one of them break.....

I owned one of these from new (now thats showing my age). From memory there was an alarm when the revs redlined. I know because my then girlfriend accidentally knocked the gearshift into nuetral when I was doing 100ks on the highway. As it took me a couple of seconds to realise what had happened the...

Good friend of mine at work was looking at buying a Foz about 6 months ago. He's a fisherman and likes to drive on the beach. As soon as the Subie salesman heard that he said "sorry its not an off road vehicle, it will not cope with beach work". Simple really, they are not prepared to expose themsel...

Want Wanted - Gen2 Lib complete tailgate

My rear windscreen connected with a rather heavy object and is now in a million tiny pieces :( so I need a new tailgate.

Would prefer green but will take whatever I can. Will travel anywhere in SE Qld to collect.

Cheers

One of those days!

So after a year of hard work (amid lots of procrastination and lack of funds) I finally got the Lib on the road. Replaced the engine, clutch, all the front suspension bushes, tyres etc etc. The tie-rod ends have now gone (front wobbles above 90) but thats another story. My daughter finally got her l...

Definately agree with the 3 letter search. Given that most of the sensors etc have a 3 letter acronym it makes it extremely hard to search the forums for the info you need. I am a firm believer in searching first but what can you do when virtually no posts contain the full name of the part? Also wou...

Lib overheating problem

My 96 Lib has just started overheating :( I bought the car for $1250 on ebay with a dodgy motor, got another engine and dropped it in, spent a long time making sure there was no airlock in the cooling system and everything was fine for the first two weeks. Then it started to overheat. small amount a...

Had a similar problem with my 96 Lib. Park with your left front wheel at the highest point and add coolant. Then squeeze the lower radiator hose a few times to force air out of the system. Repeat until you cannot hear any air in the radiator. Make sure your heater is on hot to allow the coolant to r...

Blue smoke is an indication of oil getting into the pistons, not flooding :( seems you may have a bigger problem.

What does an ej22 engine weigh?

Just bought an ej22 from a fellow member :) and need to ship it from Canberra to Brisbane.
The freight company wants to know the weight so they can charge me accordingly.
Can anyone tell me what this engine weighs?
Cheers.

When i got the car the wiring was crap so i decided to do a complete rewire, not just engine loom. Main reason being that i wanted crui...
