L series head gasket replacements
Does anyone know if you can do this without removing the engine, ive seen some vids of people doing it with the EJ 2.5lt later models. getting it done in <6 hours. I parked my Rx turbo for 3 years and its blown a head gasket, even though it was replaced less than 5k ago obv lack of use deteriated th...

Subaru enthusiast to fix up my old Rx turbo Melbourne
I've recently registered my Manual 87 Rx turbo and after 3 days of hammering it around the snowfields its good enough to take it to the next step of tiding it up and keeping it going mechanically. For that Im looking for someone or a workshop that's happy to do the work at a decent discounted price....

Would a weak valve spring be caused/agrevated by getting the head gasket done as this problem occured when i got the car back from the shop. Also whats the cure for it then I shudder having to take it to the mech's again. Yes schoobi I'm thinking it could be that something else you mentioned as its ...

Engine is missing at times RX turbo
I've had a miss for about 3 months now and it seemed to be in one cyclinder as i did the remove disb leads to see which one. However i'm not so sure now. I have removed the injector and tested it ok with a 9v battery and it works fine and there is plenty of spark. Its driving me nuts as it comes and...

Ea82t injectors different have a look!
My cars been missing so i removed the injectors to clean them and i expected them to be the same. Have a look at the pic these are from the LHS of a ea82T engine One is disticively different as can be seen by the larger injector but the absence of a injector pin sticking out (in pic RHS one). Is thi...

Advice on likely Fuel Injector problem
Subaru Ea82T missing on one cyl plenty of spark, compression so i took it for a 'quick look' at my mechanics who thought it could be a Fuel Injector problem. Rather than just handing it over for $$$ work i was thinking of just replacing the injector myself(will any efi subaru l series injector do??)...
