if the bearing is bad enough you will be able to hear it moving the wheel by hand.

jack the front end up grab the wheel and turn the wheel side to side.

I had one go a while back and you could feel the vibration in your hands.

Wanted: EJ Dual range box

I am chasing a known good dual range box to suit gen1 liberty.

currently running a gen1 3.9 box but would consider a later model dual range if required parts are available.

what is your motivation to fit the R180? You are going to blow the gearbox long before you do the R160 diff.

You can't dish out enough abuse to require an R180 unless you have a 6 speed or built auto in my opinion.

- The air assist creates a weird thing where while the cars moving with the clutch in or in neutral the ECU keeps the revs above 1,500 RPM and pulses it up and down between 1,500 and 2,100 RPM. So you sound dumb when coming up to lights, but when you stop it settles into a nice idle. It also reduce...

i had a similar run in with a wire wheel grabbing and trying to kill me. Lucky for me it hit my leg not my face. ouch!

I have used a full face shield ever since the first time a 1mm cutting disc exploded on me. getting hit anywhere in the face is no fun, not just your eyes.

use an exedy HD clutch from a 2.5l Same dimensions as the 2.2l clutch but more clamp pressure. you will kill the gearbox long before the clutch fails. I fitted one to my car recently and cant really tell the difference in pedal weight compared to a stock clutch. R160 rear end will be fine. They stil...

mate buy this car http://ausubaru.com.au/showthread.php?t=26072 I built it for a mate about 10 years ago and its got all the good gear in it. Use lift kit / suspension / GT foz alloys / tyres on your car and part the rest out. You will probably get most of your money back selling it for parts on gum...
