Thanks for the replies, boys. It does cut out sometimes when idling and I don't have an alarm or immobiliser. The ignition barrel makes a lot of sense. I'll go back to the NRMA and see if they checked it. I'm fairly sure the ignition/fuel pump relay was one of the things they tried, but I'll double ...

Liberty intermittent power loss
I have a '97 Liberty in excellent mechanical condition and only 135000kms on the clock but it is cutting out intermittently and no-one can fix it. NRMA has tried new alternator, fuel filter, etc., but the problem recurs. No errors logged on the computer that they can find. It dies but restarts immed...
