Bent rim repair

Hey all, I have been searching sometime now (over 8 months) for 14" speedy dessert rats to replace the mine and have almost given up. It seems that although my super tough MY series will easily withstand flying in excess of 5 metres through the air and landing on sand or dirt (dirt is scary) but the...

Yeah the twin turbos were just an idea, but I'm much more liking the sound of a single turbo ER27 using a TD05, when I get around to this I will make sure I do a build write up, and it wouldn't bother me to either top mount the radiator (after lift kit) or stick it in the back.

ER27 into MY series??

Hey all, At the end of this year I will have some money (and a workshop) to play with my newest MY Series, for the engine I am thinking something ridiculous like an ER27 running twin EA82 turbos and subsequently rear disc brakes. Does anyone have any idea of the logistics of this? I asked the google...

Making a lift kit

Hey all, I have been wanting a lift kit for ages now but haven't had the tools to make it myself where I live, I have now been given the opportunity to make one but can't find very clear pictures searching on google for what they look like. I was wondering if anyone, possibly those who have made the...

I know that the gearbox that is fitted to it must be a 3.7 but what about the dual range box I want to fit to it, how do I tell what this is?. Some Subarus have 1.0:1 or 1.1:1 reduction ratio, RS Liberty had 1.1 reduction where about the front diff was 3.9 and rear diff had to be 3.545! ...............

Want offroad tyres

Hey guys, I already know what tyres I want, these being 27/8.5/14 Kumho Mud Terrains, but apparently my '83 Sportswagon will not cope with this without a 4" lift, however, my car is fitted with an adjustable torsion bar and adjustable suspension. Can I just use what is available standard on the car,...

Yarney, When you say I won't have the power to turn the wheels, you do mean I won't have the engine capacity, right? I know this probably sounds stupid but you don't mean my tyres will hit on the subframe or anything like that? because I would really appreciate bigger than that and as the car is fit...

Looking for bigger tyres, need advice

Hey guys, I own a 1983 4WD GL Wagon (EA81), I currently have 14 In tyres on it but, due to being serious about offroading, this does not satisfy me, I am interested in just how much bigger rims and tyres could I fit to this without changing the rotors or anything like that over, if this is not possi...

Camber Kits for Older Subarus?

Hey all, I have a 1983 Gl Wagon with torsion bar rear suspension, my plan is to reposition (wind) the torsion bar as much as I can so that I have heaps more clearance, this is easy, I was wondering if someone would know where I could get a camber kit or if I will need one or not. If anyone has done ...
