Yeah thats right, but its hard to find Impreza boxes, as there is more Liberty boxes out there. Yeah I figured that would be the case, thanks for the input. If you find an early Impreza dual range box they are 1.5 reduction. I was unaware of the 1.5 reduction in early impreza duel range boxs. It would be nice to find one, are they very rare around those parts? I need to be more specific with my search.(Then it would just be a matter of getting it shipp...

Yes the box will bolt up. You do need to make sure you have matching front and rear diff ratios. If yours is a 4.111 then you will need to swap your rear diff or when you get the boc put your front diff in to the new one. There is a bit of machining work that is needed to be done to the crown wheel...

If its EJ engine before 99 with 4 bolts then it will be straightforward swap. If you have single range box then it easy to do. gen 1 lib has 3.9 diff and gen 2lib has 3.7 diff. well i still have the D/R box with all the linkages attached for sale with the matching diff. Its from a 91 first gen so should be 3.9 as AlpineRaven said. Will check to see if i can spot a label. I never posted a gearbox before so im not sure where to go or what to do. Sounds good im still interes...
