The vibration wasn't caused by a faulty centre bearing. It was caused by the front universal joint on the tailshaft. I think I will try to find a complete driveshaft from a wrecker.
Then I can either use that one or refurb it and swap it into my
Liberty when I have some time.

Hi, has anyone replaced the tailshaft centre bearing on a Liberty ? The bearing is not a listed Subaru part and Subaru want $1,900 for a whole new tailshaft !!!!!! The bearing is probably a $20 item from a bearing supply store. Anyone have any ideas on this - maybe a visit to a wrecker is on the car...
