No easy way to get it out. You basically just grab the around the clock and gently try and pry it out. It is just clipped in place. Once the shroud is out it is a simple matter of just unscrewing the unit to pull it apart. Putting it back together is easier than getting it out.

It is a common fault for this model. The only way to fix it is to take it out and repair it. The repair is simple enough in that you need to solder the dry joints on a small part that has 511 on it.

I've logged in to the admin area and the forum is set to accept new members. I will dig deeper to see if I can find out why that error is arising. If anyone has a decent IT background I am happy to add you as an admin to look after this sort of thing. It is not a simple system to administer for a ne...

Any one able to point me to a wiring schematic for a Gen 3 Outback climate control? I am doing a conversion and will need the pin out for the control module.

RIP csm101

Sadly I am the conveyor of bad news. Dave aka csm101 passed away earlier this morning. He was struck down 3 weeks ago by a very aggressive virus. He has been in ICU and an induced coma for nearly 2 weeks. His family are having a very hard time with it. Our thoughts are with them. They have asked me ...

I've only just seen this too. I don't get on here much any more. I would have gladly had you around and organized a BYB BBQ with all the locals.

I'm changing web hosts. It was panic by the current we hosts that shut the site down. If they looked in to it they could see that we had been inundated with spam on our registration page. They simply chose to shut us down instead of helping. It is going to take a while to migrate to a new server. Th...

I have had to close registrations to new users temporarily. The spam attack was creating an overload on the servers and they shut us down. I will be looking at ways of getting around this. If any one wants to join over the next few days then contact us through the facebook The Backyard Boys page and...

I have set the new user registration to moderate. This means each new user will have to be approved by a moderator before they can post. Can any moderators on the site check to see if you can approve new members. I think I have set it correctly for you to do so.

Let's see how this goes.

I've tried capture and it doesn't work. The spammers must be doing it manually. To register you must answer a question that has a specific answer.

I'm doing my best to keep them out. I have changed the registration verification 3 times recently. Hopefully it will slow them down if not keep them out all together.

RS and Legacy parts needed

I'm getting close to finishing off 2 cars and need a few pieces. I'm looking for a forward facing air box for a gen 2 Legacy GT. GC8 wrx airbox would do. I have the airflow. Just need the airbox. Also need the high pressure AC hose for the same car. It is the one that runs from the compressor to the...
