EJ20??

can anyone tell me if a 1996 impreza RX (EJ20) would be SOHC or DOHC?
i found a written off one but the bloke couldnt tell me if it was SOHC or DOHC and its pretty far away so i dont wanna go out for no reason

you could run the ford air filter, cortina style....... polish it up, cut a hole in your hood and let every one see :lol:

when i put my twinnies on they came with these tall filters that wouldnt fit under the hood..... so just get some old sheet metal (i used part of our old garage door :lol: ) and make a top and bottom section to go around your old stock airfilter.. very high airflow :lol:

theres not much cancer at all thats why i want to fix her up.... she's just in desperate need of a respray, the paint is cracked and crazed all over. believe me i wouldnt even consider this if the rust was bad.

screw it! the ceffy (my next dream car) can wait til i can afford insurance for it (NRMA said i couldnt apply for insurance!! that was only for an estimate though). the brumby is my baby for now, i found a good price for a respray and i love subarus so.......... :roll: give me a month or two an thin...

ok i dont wanna go the turbo route in the brumby because i want my car to be totally legal and i dont wanna have to get it engineered. so thats why i wanna go NA in the brumby. if i was to get rid of the brumby i would go the cefiro because its a car that ive always liked and if i was to get a loan ...

crunch time.....

ok the time has come for me to decide what im doing with my brumby... the rego runs out in may so i cant waste any more time. anyway these are my options 1) get it resprayed while it is still rego'd so i can drive it to and fro then when the rego runs out, fit a NA SOHC ej20 and matching running gea...

what mods would you guys recomend to get more power from the EJ18? keeping in mind i don't want to turbo. 100kw would be awesome :twisted: and also whats the ratio of the EJ22 gearbox? also for the cv's i'm guessing you only need to change the inner cups to lib ones and evry thing else should still ...

did this engine come from only the liberty or did it also come from the impreza? did they come with an awd box? and if not does anyone know if the ej22 awd box will bolt up? for a long term project im thinking of taking the brumby off the road and fitting an ej18. it is the best engine choice for me...

yeh i dont plan on doin that again anytime soon.. always check depth before driving through!!! my cv boots are both brand spankers 8) should definately get a subi crew to head out there (with more able cars than mine).

i was just out there again today...... I LOVE THAT PLACE!!! so much fun. i got a two minute vid off my camera phone i'll try put it up.. its raining now so im definately goin down tomorrow, i wanna see how deep those puddles get. it rained a little last nite and one puddle came up to my front bumper...
