Do you have much of a problem with axle-wrap in the 60-Series? I would have thought you'd have thrown a uni by now.

Try the Conversions, Modifications and Performance area of this Forum as well, that basically outlines the scope of modification needed for that conversion.

It has to arrive first . . . but I'm assured it is coming.

We should start looking into dates, that would be good. I went past your place a few weeks ago Thomas but there were no cars there so I didn't drop in.

LOL

Sounds like it would be a lot of fun, though if I break radius arms on a quick drive around the bush, goodness knows what would happen if I went on the skid pan!

I don't think they'd take too kindly to me bringing the E-class either.

It's a 1993 w463. As a member of the Australian Mercedes community I get a lot of correspondance from other Mercedes enthusiests, I'd kind of been half looking at one of these for a while when this one came up and bang! Got it. It's an auto, with a very very very very low first gear. If you've ever ...

That bloody Brumby should be on scarysteering.com. There are several manifacturers of lift kits for Subarus in Australia. The lift kit provides spacers between the crossmembers, suspension and the body which is how you can get your lift and keep your suspension geometry stock. The best wheel and tir...

Ok, no it's not the AMG version - that would be very nice but very silly. Actually Mercedes are not importing them at the moment - this is a private import, so second hand for me. Still a bit expensive but I'm justifying that with the excellent resale value. It's got a de-tuned version of the E320's...

Guess what I just bought...

Pick it up next Monday, in Obsidian Black of course.

Don't ask how much it was, you'll think I'm crazy.

Yes, very nice.

As regards the rims, they're ok but I reckon you could find some better ones. 17" WRX alloys look good.

Yeah, with an adaptor plate and a modified flywheel you use the standard L-series gearbox and drivetrain. While the part-time 4WD gearbox is okay with the NA EJs, if I were running more than 100 kW a full-time AWD box would be a necessity. Word on the street is when it comes down to strength the EJ ...
