Pedders vs KYB struts

My Brumby has Pedders struts and springs fitted and my sons 83 MY Wagon has KYB with Lovells springs. His car is like a limo and the Brumby is like a cart.

Is it the struts, springs or both that make the difference ?

Yeah. That's was me, i remember seeing your TOONGA plates.

Would you have any leads on a CHEAP, registered Brumby ?

Firm. Certainly not as comfortable as say a Liberty seat but a lot better than a broken Brumby seat. I haven't driven it on any long trips but it feels supportive and strong.

Brumby indicator switch fix ??

My indicator switch does not self cancel and the ones in the wreckers are either the same or close to shagged anyway.

Is there any fix available (eg. plastic weld or devcon the bumps) ?

Aftermarket switch assemblies ?

The seat is probably about 50mm higher than the standard seat. I am 179cm but suffer 'ducks disease' ie. short legs and long body, and tend to sit about the same height as someone 183cm tall. My head is about 100mm from the roof lining and I get out with no worries about hitting my head on the frame.

KF Laser seats in Brumby

Hi, just a note to let ppl know that KF Laser seats are an easy conversion for MY/Brumby. All I had to do was elongate 1 hole in each of the Brumby seat rails by about 1mm and they bolted straight in.

Thanks for all the help.

I was just playing around today and spaced the MY radius rods to push the wheels forward about 10mm. Even this small increase made a noticeable difference.

As soon as it is registered the L Series bits will be going on.

Hey, how's it going ?

Love the ute (except for the seat - its gotta go!).

I have pushed the castor out and given it a bit of toe out and all the wobbles have gone. Its got a misfire that I think is plug leads or coil.

Is there actually a thermostat fitted ?

EA81T thermostat

Hi,

the thermostat housing on my EA81T has an electrical connection on it that makes me think it should be ECU controlled but it isn't working. Does anyone know how it is meant to work or have a wiring diagram ?

L Series lower control arms

I have been reading the threads about using L series lower control arms on the MY/Brumby and cant find a straight answer to "are L series axles also required?" (mine is already fitted with an EA82 5 Speed) I have also been hunting for rear diff mount bushes and had no luck finding p/u aftermarket so...

I think you are right. Gabriel advised that they suit Brumby, MY, etc but I know they are too short and would feel bad about selling them to anyone. Anyone want them for a trailer, etc (postage cost only) ?
