Can you not find a multi plate clutch?

Are these only available for a pull type clutch setup?

Sorry for my ignorance

I doubt it, but it sounds like it may be a fuel issue. Not sure if EA82T's are EFI but could be a surge problem if you had a close to empty tank. My EFI ford escort had a similar sounding problem under full throttle. It was a combinaton of surge and a malfunctioning EFI pump. Not sure of the fuel sy...

Check out the usmb. One bloke did really well in a derby in his L series. I think it was severed wiring that stopped him. Had plenty of tips on how to make a subi go the distance

good luck searching

Put a massive GT wing on the back of the wagon if your after power and fuel efficiency. My wagon was so much faster and I swear I was getting an extra 50kms out of a tank of fuel. Got mine of ebay for around $400 definitely worth the money, looks good too!!

Option 1 !!!
Lower compression equals more boost.
Better flowing heads and manifold.
Strong well balanced block

the above make this sound like a good option

Option 2 would be easier but not as fun when finished

Option 3 Everyone turbos, be individual

That brumby sounds like it might be from bunbury. There are quite a lot of ej conversions driving around down here at least 4 and soon to be 5. Mine is so close to being ready, just have to put the interior back in and some thermo fans.

I just cut up some headers off an ej22. Discovered that the deign looks pretty crude. The two runners enter the cat at crazy angles with no form of merger pipe. I cut the runners off before the cat and had some bloke merge them together real nicely into a 2.5inch pipe where thre cat had been. That t...

I had the outlets enlarged and the bottom one angled downwards. Couldn't find any hoses that remotely suited so ended up joining two bends together with a discarded radiator outlet for the top, and cutting down a hose from something else for the bottom. The local Car Torque store was helpful, I just...

Ended up taking the pedal box out. Grinded off the cables bracket, welded six mm steel plate where the bracket was and tapped the steel to bolt the L series cable to. Worked pretty good.

I know what you mean, whoevere writes these parts manuals need to be shot. Try buying a part for an L series and tell the bloke its for an ej22 in an MY, no idea. Even subaru genuine are clueless.

The telstar acc cable worked pretty good, the one I used was off an 88. Only issue could be that a ball is used to mount the cable to the pedal instead of the standard cylinder shaped metal end. Could wear out? Just attempted to fit the L series clutch cable. Length -good, fit to pedal- bad! Mountin...

Equal length headers actually make healthy power gains on the ej motors and is probalby a good step towards getting power out an atmo ej. Try finding MRT on the web they make equal length headers, otherwise there is the American brands such as cobb, TWE and OBX. If you car has the dual exhaust port ...

Thanks, that is reassuring but raises another question. If there is already a fuel return line, why is it said in other threads that one has to be installed when doing the efi swap?

This is a standard N/A EJ22 I am putting in so big flows shouldnt be necessary ???

Also trying to work out the MY fuel system, in particular the fuel metering for the electronic dash so that it still works with EFI system fitted. The fuel filter under the bonnet (Z428 has) 3 ports (2 large and 1 small). It appears that there is fuel IN (from the tank), OUT (to the motor), and then...

EJ22 fuel pipes?

I am about to hook up the fuel system (EJ into MY) and need to know what the pipes on the engine are. On the LHS of the motor there are 3 pipes: I am guessing that top is Fuel IN, middle is RETURN, bottom is ????. On the RHS of the motor there are 2 pipes: The top is ????, the bottom one looks like ...
