Have a look here (see page 4), noting the reference to removing the air breather plug from the radiator:

I'm pretty sure that either cross member will mount either rack - one of the mounting brackets (driver side, I think) is definitely different. I have done a power steer to non-power steer swap due to necessity / lack of time & parts onto a turbo L series cross member and the non-power rack fitted up...

Do you write it with the underscores to prevent worms etc. from using it
I imagine so - it's amazing how quickly spambots find a naked email address posted anywhere on the web - set up a sacrificial account at gmail or something and try it...

There might also be legal / insurance issues with doing this. What happens if you have an accident and the modification is discovered ?

The little button allows you to pop the headlights up for cleaning, service, etc without the lights turning on.

I'm looking for Vortex parts myself - if you find anyone with two dash surrounds, please let me know :) .

The headlights should retract when you turn them off with the bottom button, so something is definitely wrong.

Does anybody have a wiring diagram ?

If you look in the Tech Manual section, in the thread titled "Differences between 3 and 4 plug ECU's", there is a wiring diagram and ECU pinout for the 3 plug system.

How about doing a thread in the tech manual section when you have the time?

I imagine there would be quite a few people who would have the resources and ability to tackle this, with some tips and guidance.

Anyone know to connect sheilded wires together? As a general principle, all you need to do is to join the individual internal wires, insulate them and connect the two shields together. In an automotive application it very likely wouldn't matter if you didn't wrap up the zone with the joins in shiel...

after teh pump primes what is the trigger to turn it on full time? ( crank angle sensor or the like?)
My guess would be starter motor running - but that's just a guess.

After starting, I suppose it would be crank angle sensor activity.

The system is there to heat the intake manifold to improve cold running. http://yarchive.net/car/heated_intake.html To block off the coolant flow to the intake manifold, you would have to modify the manifold to head gaskets, as coolant flows between the head and the manifold: http://www.members.optu...
