You can get Real Player for the Mac, not sure if there are less evil alternatives available:

Thanks Fury, and everyone else who has posted pictures and video - great for those of us who couldn't be there.

One thing though - RealPlayer is evil crapware. Real Alternative is much preferable:

but have nowhere big enough to host it.
Chris, you can post files up to 50Mb at http://www.mytempdir.com/ .

If it's bigger than that, just chop it up with something like http://www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/ and post the chunks.

. It just sux that when everything seems to be working well, that something as simple as an old radiator hose can give you grief, instead of the care and attention you give to protecting your investment.

connected the power of the deck to the battery with a fuse in it
You need two power connections - one direct to the battery; one from the switched accessories terminal, and they have to be the correct way around. Do you have both connected?

I am shit scared if I get the wrong one it will cause a prob in the ECU, While I can't 100% guarantee anything, I think that is really very unlikely. The knock sensor is just a specialised piezoelectric microphone, with a very high source impedance. The ECU input will similarly be a high impedance ...

We're thinking seriously about getting the ProFIRE system for the rotaries:

not sure if we'll bother with converting the subi's.

Download link not functioning

I just noticed that clicking on the download link from the main page:

http://www.ausubaru.com/

brings up that same page (ie not the download page), only the URL is

http://www.ausubaru.com/#

This happens in both firefox and IE.

Well, it probably doesn't matter now, but to answer one of your questions, when you line up the centre of the three belt timing marks on the EA82, NO cylinder is at TDC - this is a common misconception. All pistons are at half-stroke in this configuration.

Ours has about 350k on it and is blowing smoke, needs rings. It is still making reasonable power though.

We bought it with well over 300k on it and have no idea to what extent it had been trashed or mistreated in the past.

If you run the engine with the radiator cap off, are there any bubbles visible surfacing in the coolant?

This sort of behaviour can unfortunately indicate a head gasket leak, which our favourite engines are prone to develop.
