better call them easy not outs.. I've never succesfully used one, but they are a bugger to drill out when they get stuck in.

Just drill the whole thing out with the size drillbit for the same sized helicoil and put a helicoil in and you can then use a standard stud.

both wheels will spin rotate in the same direction. But depending on your center diff it may take of bit of effort to turn the rears at all with only the rear jacked up. does not matter that the viscous lsd is not hot. If there is no resistance on the other wheel it will still pull it forwards. And ...

i have an odb-II -> usb cable i really dont use anymore (was for my 2001 b4, but im running motec now). It was from tactrix, they have since upgraded to openport 2.0, not sure what the difference is, mine is a 1.2 or 1.3 i think. If you would like to come round and try it out you can (im in subiaco)...

yeah i got there about 6:30ish and it was closed.. otherwise i would have left some clutch smoke behind... (and run 12's).... maybe it was a good thing i didnt get in though because on the drive home my gearbox made some very suss noises from first gear.

i want to use the valve to control idle, it used to be wired to the ecu and is now not wired to anything, i want to wire it to the motec and make it work.

Well i have further confused myself now after more testing. It currently has one wire power and another wire grounded and another left floating (probably went to ecu before i had my motec put in). What i cant figure out is if it is actually like this one (and my mechanics have permantly grounded one...

Does anyone know how these valves work? I have a wiring diagram that says the middle pin is power (+12v) and the other two are signal (master and slave). you know .. last time i replaced wheel bearings i think i used a peice of wood..

bit still .. nice press .. im sure you really needed it.

Im too scared to use the presses at work there all f*ing huge and will destroy anything if you get it slightly wrong.

depends on the model of the box, generally they will all put some drive to the rear if you just disconnect the front. None of them like doing it (it will break them). Even the new DCCD ones dont really like it. So if you need to remove a broken shaft and move the car it could work. If you want to do...
