Nice pics.

Did you go through that mudhole too, or did you use the chicken track?

puppy or young dog wanted - Brisbane

My family has decided that we would like to have a puppy or young dog (ie: less than 12 months old). Something toy or small, short haired, and suitable for both inside and semi-outside living. X breed is fine, so long as the dog won't grow too big. Male or female - we're not fussed either way. If yo...

I've got a Hayman Reece 50x50 square hitch on my 1999 Outback. The towbar sits neatly inside the rear bumper (hidden away) and yes, a small cutout in the plastic bumper is required to allow the receiver to stick out. The cutout is underneath and you only really notice it if you get your head underne...

Sounds like you had an interesting day Brett. Glad that you never got hurt in the prang.

You gotta watch them QLD drivers - they're all crazy.

What about the 3.0R? All Outback 3.0 litre models are auto only. http://subaru.com.au/explore/outback/specifications.asp?body=Wagon&grade=3%2E0R If you want a powerful manual, then maybe you should have a look at the Forester XT. http://subaru.com.au/explore/forester/specifications.asp?body=Wagon&g...

Personally, I can't do self-stirrers.
The 3.0 litre engine is only available with an auto gearbox. :(

Leasing or buying? I'd have thought the Forester XT would hold it's re-sale value a bit better than the non-turbo models. I haven't driven any of the current Foresters or Outbacks so I can't comment as to which is nicer to ride in. As others have said, really it's up to you as to what suits your nee...

Okay - serious reply. :) Easiest exhaust upgrade is a cat-back system. Any competent exhaust place can bend the pipe for you and fit a free flowing muffler. Sizes vary, but i think a 2.25" is probably the best compromise. Any larger and you'll have constant droning at highway speeds which might soun...

Nankang wild conquerer super tripper. $110 each. Good traction, pretty good at self cleaning after going through mud (better than BFG A/T), quiet on the bitumen. Main downside is probably the soft compound and non-reinforced sidewall. That said, they are a light truck tyre and I haven't had a punctu...

Mate, when is your Brumby going to be back on the road? The Imbil / Kenilworth trip is coming up soon and it'd be nice to see your EJ Brumby scooting up a few hills.

Yarney's the one who tries keeps us under control. His latest way of expressing support to my endeavours is to suck air noisily through his teeth, whilst simultaneously shaking his head slowly side-to-side. :D

Truth be told, late this afternoon Yarney nearly shit himself.

Later on, Curlie learned that's it's best not to stand downhill from me when I try crossing a sideslope. For an old fella, Curlie can jump pretty quick when he needs to. :)
