Lovells (manufactured in Sydney) also make aftermarket springs for Subarus.

My Brumby has a 2" body lift and King Springs. It doesn't look too bad with the 13" wheels on, but I suppose that's a personal taste and you might hate the look. Given that I travel around 500km a week in the Brumby, with 13"s on I'm wearing out cheap $70 tyres and have the correct tyre to diff rati...

The bullbar was on it when i got it. All i did was gave it a lick of paint and thats it. Ice on th...

Brumby bullbar

My Brumby's alloy bullbar is looking quite tired after being bent and knocked around. I'm tossing up whether to get another conventional styled alloy bullbar, or go for a steel tubular bar. Here's what I'm considering..... Conventional alloy bar Looks pretty in polished finish and has some upwards a...

I know of some owners who are running 215/70R16 tyres on their Foresters and they tell me that this size just clears the standard strut.

 27" tyres are tight under an L. To get these Federal's under, you'd need to trim the guards quite radically.

What offset rims are you looking at using on the Brumby? I've got Scorpion rims with 27" Nankangs and get slight rubbing at full lock on the chassis rail with this set up.

With regard to the key security question, have you considered installing a small metal lock-box inside the car (under a seat, or in the spare wheel well)? http://www.armstronglock.com/images/prod-0101383-zoom.jpg Then all you'd need to have is a plain key cut to open the driver's door. :) Jack

We got some hail the size of large grapes. Came down for about 15 minutes, then the weather turned into rain. Rain stopped after an hour and the sun started shining again.

I suppose it makes sense for Tasmania. Dropping the speed limit to less than 80-90km/hr will give people an opportunity to travel for at least one hour when driving from the island's East coast to the West coast. After all, Tasmania is a pretty small island, and by the time some vehicles have accele...
