The law states that you can only have one pair of lights rated at over 21 watts for low beams... 21w LED would be a decent amount of light.... There are some nice LED type driving lights from companies like Narva. I'd like to get some mounted in my front bull bar to replace/enhance my Parker's (ie ...

I too find as I get older my eyes are more light sensitive at night. Not just oncoming vehicles but also my radio and dash lights. My own headlight brightness of course is a case of the more the better. BUT I like to think I'm courteous and care for oncoming cars. I find dimming my lights too early ...

L Series Radius Rod to chassis bushes
In the below pic how is the crush tube used? Or is it a part supplied for other vehicles that use the same part and Subaru its not needed? Possibly cheaper for the company to have one less product line opposed to the cost of the unnecessary part. Or is it needed and I'm missing something? Full websi...

Can't believe I read all that. I still disagree. And on two fronts: 1) the article doesn't address the fact that the engine is designed to run at X temp. As its the most fuel efficient at X. The rest of the system is designed around said X temp also. Oil viscosity for example. 2) it states that temp...

Can't help re performance of the EA81. Perhaps iridium plugs, bigger gap. MSD Blaster etc coil. The usual service parts that add up, new leads etc. Re no thermostat. Cooler is not always better. If the rad needs attention. Running with no thermo could help temps but its not addressing the problem. H...

I don't have a brumby... But first LSeries was 85, so one would assume anything earlier was MY. Brumby or Leone. But don't quote me on that. The Brumby peeps will jump in soon. What about wreckers? Pads must be $10 ish a pair. Though I guess bring a super consumable part that might be a bit silly. S...

Update on this thread: New (used in good nic) manual gbox mounts didn't change anything. Took the solid aluminium 2" radius rod mount bocks out and put in the older steel crush tube steel ones. Its better, but by no means acceptable. This makes sense but wont go into it here. Knowing that its not di...

how does the part number compare in my signature with the wifes alt ? You dont have an Alt listed in your sig. Though your EJ16 starter motor is one very close to my early EJ22 one. I was told the early EJ (before the 2.5) all used the same starter motor. Seems thats either incorrect or they all wo...

That is a valid question Toonga. Though its related to another issue. Just tying to simplify things to help get to the bottom of it. Car will be gone end of the year so trying to not spend money on her unnecessarily.TOONGA wrote:Is it really worth the bother?
