Would be interesting to see how much oil pressure changes between bad ticking and it being resolved by these various methods. Has anyone first hand exp with pressure differences?

Looks like a hoot, what happens if you dont make the 4K needed to start the rally, say you raise 2.5K etc?

Does the RX use the same column as the touring wagon? Easier to swap column than the bearings.

Can't help re performance of the EA81. Perhaps iridium plugs, bigger gap. MSD Blaster etc coil. The usual service parts that add up, new leads etc. Re no thermostat. Cooler is not always better. If the rad needs attention. Running with no thermo could help temps but its not addressing the problem. H...

Hmmm scrap this for now. Wife had to get NRMA to jump start and they said it was alt.

I gets home. 12.45v stationary. 14.20v running. Starts easy and alarm now works fine.

Something must be playing up. Anyway this wanted is on hold for the moment.

Not sure its exactly stupid Taza. Least not from a purely mechanical point of view. But its illegal. Full stop.

Doesn't mean I would not do it short distance etc. But u need to understand the consequences before u do. Ignorance won't get u out of trouble .
