or just do the seals/belts/perishables on the 2nd hand one, put that one in and drive away

In my experiance, rebuilt high ks sube motors dont last that long anyway.

then all the other stuff on the car is usually the same as as the motor your just replaced and isnt far off dying.

In my experiance your best off unloading the car and getting something with less ks and newer.. Trust me ive screwwed up plenty of times rebuiklding stuff, never again....

hmm i may have had a torana too :)

179kw from a very small car in 1974 was nothing to sneeze at.

L34 had even more at around 400-420hp (308kw),
they are still faster than pretty much every flash ar$e commodore/falcon......

its not really a lift kit. more like a replacement front and rear end....

a guy was offroad racing a torana down here (or what was left of one) and doing quite well....

gotta admit as bogan as they are now, they where the wrx of the 70's..

ok i dont know the guy but i did have a look when i saw it down the street rear end has custom 4 link to 9" using stock torana mounts with the 3/4 chassis being continued all the way to the pickup for the trailing arms. front looks completly custom, has big arse coil overs. no turbo and turbo efi heads are one and the same
compressions controlled by the pistons

so if its a MPFI non turbo, yes the turbo intake manifold will fit

vw has extreme light weight in its favour.. have you seen where an old suzuki will go?

welded diff will destroy the weakest part, that could be the weld, the axle spline, the doj's.. etc

take the nuts off any wheel, and no wheel is going to stay there for long...so I don't see why point finger at the speedy as being worse? I said SPIGOT, not wheel nuts. As the above post says the rim is supposed to be supported by teh center spigot and the nuts are not designed to be taking vertica...

the 14" speedie desert rats are worse than the stock 13" ones.
The spigot doesnt fit the subaru one so they wheel is held on only by the wheel nuts. Not nice at all.

buy the scorpion wheels if you are serious

I dont understand why people dony get 34adms???? and stop playing with prehistoric 32/36's?.

Its got everything you want.. Idle stop, AC fast idle sol etc.....
and you can easily get parts for them
