Ill attest to that the WRX's seemed very seamless in thier power delivery with no real boost rush, but you gotta love those 6 speed boxes.

Is the hose you are using blocked? If thats ok then check to see there isnt a small piece of foam from the packaging that has lodged in the inlet pipe, if thats all ok then it would see your guage is not functioning.

Im pretty sure i only ever had one motor that ever had a tappet noise but once i replaced the grease in the engine and put oil in its place it settles down nicely. But it seems with the Ej22s once they get lifter tick its all over for them

This comment will show my age but here goes, when i was younger i played alot with Ford motors and i played with a few holden motors as well for mates. One thing i did learn very early was that if you freshened up the top end (or bottom end) and didnt do anything to the other end it was only a very ...

Generally us EA82T drivers have to keep very quiet about the perfomance as the EJ engined car owners like to feel good about thier cars

I brought a LIb with more ks on it than that and had no trouble, it more depends on how hard a life it had before you got it.

Basically wheel bearings, and air struts might need looking into at that amount of Ks, i take it the clutch was seen to when the motor was replaced?

If it came from an auto RX turbo it would be a 3.7. If it is a 4.11lsd its from a Ej powered car. to swap the 4.11 lsd to the 3.7 just get a 3.7 open diff and swap out the centre of the lsd using the outer cups from the donor diff and shims. you will have to recess the non lsd housing for clearance ...

yeah the L series have a speed sensor wire which is pinout 22 on the ecu (smaller 2 row plug looking at the ECU it is the second one in on the top) but if you want to grab the signal from the engine bay it is on the read plug on the DS behind the shock tower, the orangey beige looking one.

Subaru is the best place to get them, they arent expensive either less than $40 last time i brought a kit. While you are in that area if you havent changed your cam belts it would be a good time to do that and the main and cam seals.

As above but if they have been noisy for a while they may need cleaning out by pulling them apart, there is a page here http://homepage.powerup.com.au/~camncat ... er_fix.htm
